Encounters on the Ice
A Dry Valleys Notebook
This is part of an installation comprising 46 pages of photo lithographs, pencil rubbings and texts. For some unknown reason, I brought this spoon and fork pair to Antarctica with me last year and carried them everywhere, setting them up in various places and situations on the ice and documenting them photographically. The objects became increasingly 'human' and the process grew into a rather poignant reflection on relationships.
