This is a
site where the land-ocean interface is an underwater ice cliff.
Our recent DNA-based
survey of Explorers Cove foraminifera found that this site had
a very large number of previously-undescribed species.
Beautiful,
yes? Unfortunately, it's a bit too cold to hang around for long.
A couple of unusually brave brittle-stars seem to have taken up
ice-cliff climbing.
