The site
is named for a group of tiles that were placed on the seafloor in the
early 1990's as a colonization experiment.
Even
though the Tile Hole is the next-door neighbor of the Ice Cliff
site, it has a different (and less diverse) foram assemblage.
We often find this sort of small-scale patchiness in the Cove.
