From southern New York / New York Metro Area and points south
Take your best route to I-87, in New York State. Travel north on I-87 (the New York State Thruway) to Exit 23 (Albany). Take I-787 north to Exit 8. Turn right off the ramp, and follow instructions under "For all travelers" below.
From western New York and Ontario
Take I-90 (the New York State Thruway) east to Exit 24. Continue on I-90, which is no longer a toll road, 4 miles (7 km) to the interchange with I-787. Take I-787 north (toward Troy) to Exit 8. Turn right off the ramp, and follow instructions under "For all travelers" below.
From northern New York, Vermont, and Quebec
Take I-87 south to Exit 7. Follow the signs for Route 7 East/Troy. At the interchange with 787, take the exit for I-787 South (Albany). Get off at Exit 8 and turn left off the ramp, and follow instructions under "For all travelers" below.
From New England and Canadian Maritime Provinces
Take your best route to I-90 (the Massachusetts Turnpike). Travel west on I-90, and continue onto the New York State Thruway. Take Exit B1 (I-90) west toward Albany. Cross the Hudson River on I-90 and make an immediate right onto the ramp for I-787 North (Troy.) Take I-787 north to Exit 8. Turn right off the ramp, and follow instructions under "For all travelers" below.
For all travellers
Follow 23rd street toward the Green Island Bridge/Troy. (Caution: This stretch of road is a notorious speed-trap. Observe the posted limit, or this conference may cost more than you anticipated.)
Take the Green Island Bridge over the Hudson River into Troy. Take a hard right onto River Street, and go past the Fresno's restaurant and the Franklin Square motel to the first light. Follow River Street as it bears to the right through Monument Square. Once you are past City Hall, take a left onto First Street. Travel two blocks onto the Russell Sage campus.
Parking is available on First Street, both on the street and in two College lots.
